Foodie Tuesdays // 7 Slim Down Smoothies

Sun's Out...Tummies Out. You know what season it is ladies, and after the merciless treats during the Holidays, it's time to slim down that gorgeous figure you got to a rock a more confident you. I don't know about you, but I would like to do that without starving, but no worries, we found 10 Slim Down smoothies that will make you happy as well as your stomach.


1. Energy Boost Smoothie


Need a boost? How about under 250 calories? Oh and did we mention delicious? Try this energy giving smoothie on a rainy day, or a day with more then 1 meeting...or how about just everyday?

  • Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp (table spoon)
  • Creamy peanut butter – 2 tbsp
  • Banana – 1 medium size
  • Non-fat vanilla yogurt – 8 oz
  • Ice cubes – 4 to 6
  • A pinch of cinnamon

2. Mango Smoothie Surprise


It's no surprise that it's amazing. Try it with some fresh fruits too, like strawberries or blueberries!

  • Mango cubes – ¼ cup
  • Mashed Avocado – ¼ cup
  • Fat-free vanilla flavoured yogurt – ¼ cup
  • Mango juice – ½ cup
  • Fresh lime juice – 1tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Ice cubes – 6

3. Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Pumpkin Spice Latte lovers REJOICE! An excellent way to not only enjoy the amazing-ness which is Pumpkin, but you also get to enjoy it during the Spring. I know, I teared up too.

  • Unsweetened almond vanilla milk – 1 cup
  • Whey vanilla protein powder – 1 scoop
  • Canned pumpkin – ¼ cup
  • Water – ¼ cup
  • Flaxseed – 1 teaspoon
  • Honey – 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon – ¼ teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract – ¼ teaspoon
  • Ice cubes – 7 to 8

4. Vitamin C Smoothie

Cause it's Spring, and honestly no one should be getting sick, but if you are starting to feel it coming on, this is a great little treat to get some Vitamin C in yah! Who knew getting sick could be so yummy? (we're kidding. Don't get sick.)

  • Oranges – 2
  • Half a Cantaloupe
  • Strawberries – 1 cup
  • Tomato – 1

5. Very Blueberry Smoothie

Blueberry season is here at last! Time to harvest them (or go grocery shopping), and make yourself a delicious and body slimming drink. Add some flaxseed oil, and some skim milk and bam. Very Blueberry Smoothie.

  • Skim milk – 1 cup
  • Unsweetened frozen berries – 1 cup
  • Organic flaxseed oil – 1 tbsp


6. Chocolate Raspberry...oh My.

Sun = Ice Cream, and unfortunately...that isn't very slimming, but if you're craving some sweets, we have a delicious smoothie for yah!

  • Soy or skim milk – 1 cup
  • Vanilla yogurt – 6 oz
  • Chocolate chips – ¼ cup
  • Fresh raspberries – 1 cup
  • Ice cubes – 6 to 8

7. Pining for Pineapple

Super quick and easy to make. Be whisked away to a tropical place with the yummy smoothie...or at least pretend to be somewhere tropical.

  • Skimmed milk – 1 cup
  • Canned pineapple juice – 4 oz
  • Organic flaxseed oil – 1 tbsp
  • Ice cubes – 6
